There goes my 1st Wedding Anniversary...

Well, I believe some couple will go for a scrumptious candle light dinner with roses and romantic environment...perhaps a more luxury gift. Some might prepare dinner at home, having steaks and drinking red wine, watching movie together with cuddle and kisses...

As for me and my hubby, we did go out together and went to a lot of places, settled a lot of things and met a lot of people...at the end of the day, both of us were totally exhausted and flat...

Around 12noon, we went to get some cakes, fruit tarts and some snacks for my colleagues as my baby's full-month celebration. We managed to munch Polar Puff's Chicken Pie and Mr. Bean's Soya Milk for lunch. Then we headed to Shenton Way and settle some bank loans. I was supposed to meet my colleague around 2pm, but due to the 'inefficiency' of the bank, I have to postpone my trip there.

So we headed to HDB to collect the keys of our new flat...It took us 1.5 hours to settle most of the paper work, loan, payment and the application of water and electricity. We then rushed to my office around 445pm and distributed the cakes and stuff. I chatted with my colleagues about 15mins, then we rushed off to our new home and met with our renovation's ID. We spent about 2 hours there then headed home for dinner. I was hungry, tired and sleepy. Dashed to my bed after dinner...and there goes my Anniversary, HA!!!

1st Christmas with Hubby and my little one...

Thinking back all the Christmas that I have gone through...since young, me and my family will go to church and celebrated this joyful day. As a kid, my only aim was to get the goodie bag at the end of the performance by the kids whom attended the Sunday school.

I then understood the true meaning of Christmas when I was a teenage. It is a day to celebrate the birth of 'Jesus Christ' that brings hope, joy, peace and the redemption of our sins. I no longer crave for goodie bag but I participated in the performance instead. A lot of gift exchange, celebrations, Christmas Carols, dinners, gatherings...

This year's Christmas is slightly different...No party, No gift exchange, No Christmas Carols. The first ever Christmas that I will spend with my wonderful Hubby and My Little One as a family. The greatest gift of all gift exchange that I had so far, HA!

Baby Jarrel is 2 weeks old...

Time flies...Didn't even realise that I had given birth 2 weeks back. Guess taking care of a new born baby can really occupy every minute of my life. Flashing back the moments when I was confirmed being pregnant, it seems like yesterday...Hubby and me bought the pregnancy test kit at 'Watsons', I tested it and got a 'positive'. That's when this little new life begins in my womb.

The most intimate moments established with my baby is when breast-feeding takes place. I can see his innocent look with the appearance of an angel. The sweetest moment is to watch over him sleeping soundly in his cot.

The moment of JOY...

After the long wait of 40 weeks, my little prince 'Jarrel' was born on 2/12/2009 10:13am at Mount Alvernia Hospital...

Before going to the operating theatre:

Together with my dearest Hubby for the moral support and courage:

Here comes my little prince:

The moment of waiting....

Counting down for my D-Day...approximately 12 days to go. Will be on my advanced maternity leave starting 23/11/2009 until 21/02/2010. Baby is slightly big, weighs 3.5kg in 38th week...projected to hit 4kg in 40th week. Oh My...Hardly believe that my first baby can be that huge!! I pray for natural birth, may God leads me through.

3 months later since last update....

Currently in my 29th week of pregnancy...Baby is growing bit by bit every single day, the kicking and punching forces are increasing as it sometimes disturbed me during day time and night time (especially when it's time for food) KC and I are attending the 'Pre-natal class' at Mt. Alvernia for the very first time. It was not very fun but, well, there are definitely something to be learnt and prepared before the D-Day...We shopped for baby stuff, collecting passed-down from family and relatives, purchased online for things like rocker, baby carrier...

I told KC that we should not buy too many unecessary things like toys, accessories or even things that we are uncertain to get before the baby is born. I guess the most important thing now is to educate and communicate with my little one so that he can recognise 'Mummy's and Daddy's' voice. We both are anticipated of his arrival, counting down the days that we can finally see him face to face. Baby weighs approximately 1.32kg in 28th weeks, and I somehow put on 17.5kg until now...(Oppps!)

My Baby rejects Soya Milk...Hhmmph!!

Soya Milk is one kind of drink that all pregnant lady will consume throughout their pregnancy. Well, of course I follow suit...having the thought of getting a Baby with fairer and beautiful skin...My little one just rejects it everytime I had it...This is so weird! I will loose my appetite after drinking that...Anyway I just don't care, whether he rejects it or not...I'll take it once on alternate days, ha!

The moment of TOTAL RELIEF!!

I finally announced my pregnancy to my colleagues and manager last Monday...Whooh, it was hard but I guess it's the right time for me to say it...Since then, I felt so relief without the need to hide my 'bump', thinking of what to wear in the morning so that it is not noticeable and etc. HA! People started to gave up their seat in MRT to me, not that bad afterall...

So, I started to wear the maternity clothes to work now, I guess my little baby can sense that too as he no longer feel the tightness around my tummy area...Hoho!! I went for my monthly checkup in my 16th week...BB is approximately 10cm long, saw his round round head and tummy, and my gynae confirmed tat I'm expecting a Baby Boy...Be good ok my little one!!

Meet up session with Connie and Kelissa

Had a meet up session with my former-secondary school classmates - Connie and Kelissa. We had Chinese Food at 'Nan Xiang Steamed Bun Restaurant', Bugis Junction. After that, we went to 'Ah Qiu dessert house' to continue our 2nd round of chit-chatting session. Connie and family will move to a new place soon, Kelissa is having fun with her 5 months plus baby gal...I'll be joining their motherhood soon, ha!! KC fetched them home after that, dozed off again after shower...Opps!

Bought a Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor for my parents...

Ordered a Dell(TM)IN1910N 18.5" Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor for my parents as their current monitor is slightly too small and difficult for them to view the webpages that are designed for widescreen viewing. Hopefully they will like it...

2nd trip back to Malaysia in year 2009

Took Jetstar with KC back to Kuala Lumpur on 30th May 09. Return ticket with 1 free check-in baggage each person costs SGD78, boarded from Terminal 1 at Changi Airport and landed at KLIA (guess it's the only budget airline that doesn't land in LCCT Kuala Lumpur) The total flying journey took about 35mins. We took the KLIA transit to Putrajaya station, my parents picked us up from there which is 15-20mins drive from home. Didn't go anywhere as me and KC were busy fixing the old desktop at home coz Dad couldn't surf the internet. Spent dinner with my parents, my elder sis's family and my bro-in-law's family. My elder sis pass down some of her maternity wear, Dad gave me 2 tins of Protein powder (said it's good for the baby and can reduce water retention).Flew back to SG on 1st June 09, reached home abt 6 plus...dozed off after dinner as I was too tired...

Headache for 2 days...

I had this headache since last Sunday afternoon till Monday morning...so I didn't go to work. KC took a day leave too. I rested at home, took the 'Panadol' in the morning...it started to go away, and I felt kinda relief...But then it came back again after dinner, took 'Panadol' again before I sleep. Whooh...Guess the weather is too warm and I didn't really get enough rest.

Another gathering with the Gals...Vivo City - Marche

Met Sharon and Serene after their movie at Vivo City around 1:30pm...Had lunch at Food Republic then headed to Marche for chit-chatting session while waiting for Janice and Vivian to arrive. We ordered yummy cakes, crepes, calamari rings, fruit juice...Lots of things to catch up indeed.

Gathering with the Gals...at Fish & Co. - The Glass House

Well, after Michelle came back from her Europe tour, I managed to gather the gals once again for dinner and chit-chat session. So what's new and updates from everyone? Michelle got her first LV Speedy 30 from Paris, whooh...at a very good price and the smell of a new bag is still there!! Oh yes, and a Gucci wallet when she stopped by Switzerland. Not bad huh...

As for Diana, well, work work work...I guess that's her lifestyle at the moment, we only can be her listener to help her release all the hidden feelings and stress deep inside. I hope she feels better everytime after our meet up session...

As for Woan Ling, Hmm, always came the last...and the most quiet gal among 4 of us...Paid attention to our conversation with nodding her head and smile a little on her face. When we asked about her 'good news'...she'll always give us the same answer...hmmpph!! Well, we really hope that the 'ONE DAY' will come sooner, haha!!

We ordered Platter for ONE and Fish and Chips to share among me, KC and Michelle...Platter tasted 'so-so', not very nice...Fish and Chips is yummy!! Then Diana and Woan Ling ordered Fish and Chips and Prawn Peri Peri. It's my first time at The Glass House, ambience quite noisy if you sit at the ground floor as there is Live Band...maybe should try sitting upstairs if i dine in there again.

Finally I'm in my Week 12...

Dear Friends,

After going through 3 months of anticipating moments, I finally reached the stage where I can officially announce the great news of my pregnancy. Yes...There's this little one in my tummy, living and growing with me every single day of my life. It's really amazing when you see the progress of the combination of 2 tiny cells, 1 from me and 1 from KC that multiply and form a baby...My expected due date is early December 2009. Thanks for all the blessings and prayers from my parents, siblings and church members.

First checkup: (Approx. 6weeks)
Hardly see anything, but managed to see little heart beating like a twinkling star...measured at 2mm

Second checkup: (8weeks 3 days)
Managed to see the head and body forming, tiny little limbs and hands...measured at 22mm

Third checkup: (12 weeks)
Baby was sleeping upside down, kicking and awaken by me when I laughed seeing the funny posture, measured at 62mm. Gynae predicted a baby boy...but not 100% confirm. Did my routine blood test too.

Anticipation...

There are a few drastic changes in my life since end of Nov till now...From single to married, from staying alone to staying with my in-laws and family, from unemployed to employed, from age 29 to 30...I expect more anticipations to come in near future which has yet to be revealed to me one by one, at their own timing...

New Place, New People, New Work

It is the second week of my new position in a new company. As usual, nothing much to be done except reading up some technical documents and attended a few sessions of informal trainings. Life is not that bad for a new start. Trying hard to readjust my non-working life style with my current life style. Yupe, sometimes it is so hard to resists the sleepiness and the freedom that I used to have. I still prefer working eventhough life can be less freedom and tired mentally and physically. Everytime I started work at a new place, I will miss my ex-colleagues so much that I wish to go back...BUT..."Those were the days!" Thanks to all my friends whom are always there to comfort and encourage me. Thanks to my in-laws for the support and care. Thanks to my Greatest Hubby for always being there for me.

2/27/09

Starting all over again...

It was indeed a tough time for me to decide what to do, what to expect, what to plan and where to go for the past 3 months. Yupe...Finally I have made up my mind and not wait for any other options or pending answers, just go for it...Trusting that YOU have prepared the best for me eventhough it might not seems to be my first choice.
